Análisis técnico-económico de una microrred DC en un edificio universitario

La penetración de microrredes DC ha sido una tendencia creciente en los nuevos sistemas de distribución debido a sus ventajas en eficiencia y versatilidad comparado con su contraparte AC. En este trabajo se presenta el rediseño de una microrred AC para convertirse en una DC con generación solar y eólica, en un edificio de laboratorios de un campus universitario. El diseño está basado en una caracterización detallada de la infraestructura existente con el fin de proponer el reemplazo de convertidores de potencia y cargas de iluminación para la constitución de un sistema híbrido con buses AC y DC. El estudio incluye la simulación de los dos sistemas para comparar eficiencia, pérdidas y ahorros en cada configuración. Finalmente, se realiza un análisis económico básico para estimar el tiempo de retorno de la inversión en la infraestructura necesaria de la nueva microrred DC.
