Inteligencia artificial y seguridad ciudadana: aplicaciones y desafíos de los grandes modelos del lenguaje

La seguridad ciudadana es una de las principales preocupaciones de la población colombiana y se ha convertido en una prioridad en los planes de desarrollo gubernamentales. En el marco del Plan de Desarrollo de Antioquia y el Acuerdo Estratégico Departamental en Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación, se busca aumentar la producción científica y generar conocimiento para abordar problemáticas específicas, como la seguridad ciudadana. En este contexto, este trabajo de investigación se orienta a la revisión y análisis de tecnologías emergentes, como la inteligencia artificial, con el potencial de aplicación para identificar y detectar posibles amenazas o patrones delictivos mediante el análisis de texto que puedan ser usados en el diseño de sistemas de alerta temprana basados en información textual aportando soluciones preventivas en el ámbito de la seguridad ciudadana. Se puede abordar la seguridad ciudadana desde muchas variables, algunas de ellas son las señales multimedia, como el texto, insumo principal de los grandes modelos del lenguaje, estos modelos han demostrado capacidades útiles para la inferencia de diferentes problemáticas en diversas áreas del conocimiento, en este trabajo se realiza una investigación sobre el estado actual de estos grandes modelos y el cómo podrían utilizarse en el pro de la seguridad ciudadana. Como resultado de este estudio se identifica que las técnicas con mayor potencia para el tipo de aplicaciones en seguridad son el In-Context Learning, Indexing y Fine-Tuning y su utilización dependerá del alcance y necesidades de las herramientas que se deseen implementar, como el análisis de sentimiento en redes sociales para detectar posibles amenazas, la identificación de patrones para la detección de delitos mediante el análisis de texto, y el diseño de sistemas de alerta temprana basados en información textual.
