Within the framework of WEEF (IFEES & GEDC) 2026, the following engineering topics will be addressed, fostering reflection and sharing experiences from higher education institutions and industry to highlight scientific and technological development and its social impact:
|
Design, Manufacturing, and Infrastructure |
This track brings together research focused on the design of mechanical and structural systems, advanced manufacturing processes, materials engineering, and the development of resilient infrastructure. Proposals that integrate efficiency, sustainability, and applicability in urban and rural contexts are highly valued. Suggested subtopics: • Civil construction and project management |
|
Automation and Process Management |
This topic focuses on research addressing system automation and industrial process optimization. Contributions that improve productivity, quality, and decision-making in industrial and organizational environments are encouraged. Suggested subtopics: · Production and operations management |
|
Energy |
This track invites research aimed at developing, optimizing, and applying sustainable energy solutions. Proposals should address the challenges of energy transition and integrate sustainability, innovation, and regional or global relevance. Suggested subtopics: · Renewable energies (solar, wind, biomass, geothermal) |
|
Digital Technology and Innovation |
This topic focuses on research addressing system automation and industrial process optimization. Contributions that improve productivity, quality, and decision-making in industrial and organizational environments are encouraged. Suggested subtopics: · Production and operations management |
Methodology
Papers will be presented in oral and poster format. Selected papers will be presented during an academic session on September 22 and displayed during the special poster session on September 24, where authors will present their work alongside their poster to address attendees’ questions.
Authorship restriction
An author may be listed in a maximum of two papers.
Evaluation criteria
- Alignment with one of the proposed topics
- Correspondence to a research project
- Relevant content
- Innovative component
- Feasibility and implementation potential
Selected papers must include a poster design that meets feasibility and implementation parameters, along with specifications that will be announced in due course.
Who can participate
- Professors, administrators, and staff from engineering schools and programs.
- Research groups from engineering schools and programs that are part of research in each of the aspects considered.
- Representatives from the business sector and government who are conducting research related to the proposed aspects.
