Abstract

This work proposes the implementation of blockchain technology in university laboratories dedicated to food and water certification. As a distributed and immutable database, blockchain guarantees the security and transparency of the information, from the receipt of the sample to the issuance of the certificate. This enables greater traceability, reduces the risk of errors and increases customer confidence. The main benefits include improved service quality, compliance with international standards, greater process efficiency and increased customer satisfaction. The Scrum methodology was used to develop the system, employing the phases of planning, construction, testing and revision in each sprint. Finally, we obtained a software application that offers an innovative and safe way to guarantee the quality consultation of tests applied to food and water, providing an added value for both academic institutions and consumers.
