Abstract

Project structuring takes into account different areas of knowledge or various conceptions within the academic field. For this reason, a taxonomy is proposed associated with each moment within the theoretical studies suggested by different authors so that project training is suited to the appropriate moment and influence within the process. That is, planning is a task different from execution, development is particular to each project, and evaluation is from each perspective according to different visions.

The development of a project includes preliminary stages, constructive stages, and subsequent stages, which must be conceptually considered to ensure an optimal critical path. Within the preliminary stages, the development and review of the plan, allows the formulation of a program that supports the objectives set forth in the project. Subsequently, a preliminary project is proposed, which is the first real approach to the project. After the project planning, the execution stage is presented, which develops in parallel with management.

The taxonomy of projects has significant implications for organizational design, communication systems, control, planning, and scheduling of human, financial, operational, and environmental resources for the benefit of society and the satisfaction of the owner, proponent, and financier.
