Abstract

This paper presents the design and implementation phases of a smart greenhouse prototype that utilizes advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and IoT sensors to optimize lettuce growth conditions, specifically the Romaine lettuce variety, through efficient control of variables such as temperature, humidity, lighting, nutrient dosage, and water usage. From a methodological perspective, the phases were structured based on a compilation of control application requirements, the selection and arrangement of sensor and actuator elements, and the development of a greenhouse management strategy for decision-making based on data analysis and processing using Artificial Intelligence tools such as POWERBI. The results show improvements in plant growth parameters and their nutritional quality.
